Nathan Cave
is an award-winning arranger, audio engineer, vocalist, and vocal percussionist based in London, UK. He received a Masters in Mathematics from the University of Bristol, specialising in acoustics and cymatics, alongside being a part of the musical director team for National A Cappella Champions, The Bristol Suspensions.Â
Whilst in the collegiate group, Nathan produced a multitude of live and studio tracks, as well as performing around the country in competitions, showcases, and festivals. During his time in the vocal percussion collective, he organised a critically acclaimed national beatbox tournament and provided workshops to disadvantaged communities across Bristol.
As one of the UK's leading audio engineers specialising in vocal music, Nathan helped co-found The AC Product, and later went on to form Algo Productions, a professional full-service audio and video production company. He is also currently a member of the professional beatbox crew Algorhythm, performing live around the UK to sell-out audiences. Nathan offers coaching and masterclasses in vocal percussion to schools around the country, assisting students in the preparation for music exams, live performances, or simply just to express themselves.
Outside of the A Cappella world, Nathan was an orchestral percussionist in the UK premiere of Philip Glass' Hydrogen Jukebox, is a classically-trained guitarist, and is a professional chef.
